To give oneself the greatest range of tone control in any listening environment….just can’t beat a good Graphic Equalizer. This is a very good quality Japanese built EQ by Audio Dynamics Corp., probably very early ’80s vintage. All faders work as they should, clean quiet operation, none bent or damaged. Faceplate of unit shows very well, some tiny marks, no major damage….will display very well. Worst cosmetic is loss of some lettering (Right) by the level control (see picture). Level control knobs are for meter calibration only, they do not attenuate signal. Overall condition of cabinet, which has a matte black finish is very good. Very clean and 100% functional.

Additional DescriptionMore Details

When it comes to vintage Hi Fi gear, functionality is of course paramount….but condition and physical appearance are a very close second, because most who favor higher-end vintage audio want to “display” their toys as well. Here’s a great looking pair of vintage monitors with legendary JBL sound quality that will show very well, having only very minimal cosmetic damage. Lovingly cared for by the one original owner, the L19 is a 2 way sealed enclosure that will produce some rather remarkable low end for a smallish cabinet and 10″ driver. Both low drivers were rebuilt in 2011 by Columbus Speaker Co., an Authorized JBL repair facility in Columbus, Ohio, and have seen only a few hours use since then. With the exception of some very minor moisture damage which is fortunately confined to the bottom of one cabinet, they look super nice when oiled and will display very well. Grills equally nice, no overt damage and very clean. All in all a choice pair of vintage speakers with basically new drivers, sure to please for many years to come. Consignment Item, No Returns, Refunds, or Exchanges.

I’m always happy when consignment items like this show up, especially in such extraordinarily clean condition. From the “Golden Age” of Sony’s VFET component offerings, these very well built and “musically neutral” preamps are an excellent anchor for a moderate to high wattage system….sonically most often referred to as being very “tube like”, this TAE 5450 is also quite handsome to display. Featuring separate Bass and Treble control for each channel, and a rather amazing array of filters and selectable functionality, including a -20dB mute found next the the main attenuator. Cosmetically in very nice condition, the brushed metal faceplate shows no wear whatsoever to any lettering, one very minor mark just below Model number….no deep scratches…a couple of very light marks on the top (see pictures). A few miniscule marks on top of unit, no deep gouges or paint loss. Faux wood side panels likewise look super nice, this preamp shows very well from any angle. Dual phono inputs, tuner, three aux in and two tape in / out…also dual main outputs, rather rare and quite handy for multi – room / multi – amp setups. All in all a very fine unit, all controls tested clean, fully functional. Built to last! Consignment Item, No Refunds, Returns, or Exchanges.

Every now and then, I’ll run into an item that literally makes my jaw drop, and here’s a prime example. While I don’t really include the Technics brand with the likes of Marantz, Sansui, Pioneer, and most of the higher quality receivers and components I seek out, they were a very well built and affordable alternative, IMHO. What stunned me on this particular piece is it’s condition. What we have here is a 35 year old receiver….that is as close to looking fresh from the box as can be imagined. It has spent it’s entire life in a protected environment, barely even getting dusty. Top, sides, back, and bottom…show no marks, scratches, or abrasions. Faceplate is gorgeous, all lamps working, all controls function as they should, and quietly. Sat on it’s own shelf, nothing ever stacked on top. Only one mark to be found, the very top right corner looks like something rubbed across it, perhaps, as it appears ever so slightly rounded as compared to the opposite corner. Producing a modest 35 watts @ 8 ohm, it will handle a 4 ohm load. Just an absolutely beautiful vintage receiver that can be proudly displayed in any setting, a real gem. Consignment Item, No Returns, Refunds, or Exchange.

Very Nice Condition

Excellent Reception

Additional DescriptionMore Details

If you’re looking for a nice Vintage weighted tuning receiver to add to your component system, consider this Yamaha CT 410 II, built around 1978 – 80. Overall this unit is in decent cosmetic shape, a couple of marks above the meters being the only real flaws (see pix). The top and sides of the cover feature a black matte finish, which is in good shape, marks here and there but no major scratches. Lamps are all good, tuning wheel moves smoothly, although there is a very miniscule “plink” sound to be heard at only one point while scrolling the dial. Strength and Tuning meters both respond as they should. All in all a very nice high quality FM tuner that sounds great and will display nicely.

Formidable Home Stereo Amp

Additional DescriptionMore Details

If you’re in the market for some serious wattage for the Home Stereo, look no further. This venerable survivor spent many years in service as part of a professional sound system, then retired to the less stressful “home stereo” pastures. One of the finest amps from the early days of big wattage units, this Yamaha P2200 has many years of life left in it. 300 + watts @ 8ohm, more than enough for most any power hungry speaker. Overall cosmetic condition is average + / good, typical loss of paint at the screw insets, the rest of the faceplate is not bad at all. Small chip out from top-right faceplate screw, see picture. Meter lamps both work, no cracks in cover acrylic. Top of unit is in surprisingly good shape, scratches but only a few, no dings or other impact damage. Cord has been shortened to about 18″, I can install a new longer one if buyer requests. Bench tested, both channels and meters function as they should. This could rightfully be in the Pro Audio category, but the honest truth is that there are many comparable wattage amps out there these days that weigh a whole lot less….this is one heavy Momma. Best parked at home and rockin’ the neighborhood. Will display very nicely, stone quiet no-fan operation. Quality built and engineered to last.
